Name of belemnite: Passaloteuthis paxillosa (Schlotheim 1820)
Age: Lower Jurassic, Toarcian
Provenance: Holzmaden, Germany

This is a large plate measuring 60 x 60 cm and weighing 12 kg. The fossils are well distributed over the entire plate.
Belemnite measures 10 cm, the largest ammonite too. The belemnite has obviously been glued.
This fossil comes from the famous "Lagerstät" of Holzmaden.
Very decorative on a wall.
